Terms of Service
These terms cover bookings with True Detail, a mobile car and auto detailing business based in Milford Mill, Baltimore County, Maryland. Booking an appointment means you accept them.
Quotes and pricing
Prices shown on this site are starting prices for a standard sedan in normal condition. Final price depends on the size and condition of the vehicle. Larger vehicles carry a size adjustment of $25 to $50, shown on the booking form before you submit it.
Heavy soiling — deep stains, mould, pet hair, smoke odour, construction debris — takes longer and costs more. We will tell you the firm price before we start work, not after. If you do not accept it, there is no charge and we leave.
Booking and confirmation
Submitting the form is a request, not a confirmed booking. We confirm by phone, text or email, normally within the hour between 8 AM and 8 PM. A booking is confirmed only once we have replied.
What we need from you
A legal, accessible parking space next to the vehicle, and access to the vehicle itself. We are fully self-contained and bring our own water and power — you do not need to supply a hose, tap or outlet. Please remove valuables and personal items before we arrive. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Call or text 667·328·0230 as early as you can. We do not charge a cancellation fee for reasonable notice. If we arrive and cannot access the vehicle, or nobody is there to let us start, we may charge for the trip.
We may reschedule for weather. Heavy rain, ice and freezing temperatures affect what we can safely do to paint, so we would rather move a job than rush it. We will always contact you first.
Results and limitations
We tell you honestly what can and cannot be fixed. Most food, drink and dirt stains come out. Dye transfer, ink, bleach damage, burns and tears are permanent, and we will say so rather than charge you to attempt them. Light swirls improve with our Signature polish step; deeper scratches need paint correction, which we quote separately after seeing the vehicle.
Ceramic coating and sealants reduce contamination bonding and make washing safer. They do not prevent scratches, stone chips or damage from impacts.
We are not liable for pre-existing damage, for defects revealed once dirt is removed, or for damage arising from previous poor-quality repairs, aftermarket coatings or failing trim and seals. We will point out anything we notice before starting.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise. We accept cash, credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Cash App and Zelle. Memberships are billed monthly with a two-month minimum, after which you can cancel at any time.
Text messages
If you give consent on our booking or membership form, you agree to receive SMS messages from True Detail about your quote, appointment or membership at the number you provided, including messages sent by autodialer. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Photography
We often photograph our work. We do not publish number plates, addresses or anything identifying you or the location. If you would rather we did not photograph your vehicle at all, just say so when you book and we will not.
Gift certificates
Gift certificates have no expiry date and are redeemable against any service. They are not exchangeable for cash. If the service costs more than the certificate value, the difference is payable on completion.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
